NEW LIFE IN MALAYSIA

FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE THE LIFESTYLE IN MALAYSIA

By the time I arrived Malaysia, I was like 10 years old. I didn't know how to speak in Malay because English is my first language. Indeed I learned Malay when I was in Malaysia in the first place but English had overwhelmed my body and my mind state. So yeah, English is my native language after all. Should I say that or shouldn't I? Idk lol but for me, I prefer English. I entered my new house and well, quite small but it was better to live in because I have a shelter I can live on. Without shelter, I will live in a miserable life lol.

LEARNING MALAY AT THE AGE OF 9. HOUSE RULES!!

Well, learning Malay was quite difficult. My mom gave me books to learn in Malay and my grandma asked me to watch TV3 lol. That TV channel has Malay movies and English subtitles. Thats why. In overall, basically I learned my malay language through watching TV liao~. Thanx TV3. Heee~ My dad forced us to speak English at home and MUST speak English to him, to my mom and my siblings. If we don't follow the rule, he will reduces our school allowance lol. Kinda strict but that is a good thing. Not to make our Australian accent gone.

TOO SHY ON MEETING NEW FRIENDS ESPECIALLY GIRLS~

As years passed by, I met a lot of new friends. Guys lol. If you want to say girls, I don't think so lol. I'm a shy guy who couldn't speak to girls at all. If I did, I would feel speechless and my faced would start blushing!!. Hahaha=D. Its true though. I'm not lying.

SEKOLAH KEBANGSAAN BANDAR TUN HUSSEIN ONN

I entered the 4th year standard (4 Tanjung) in this primary school called Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Tun Hussein Onn (SKBTHO-Bandar Tun Hussein Onn Primary School). The first day of my school was terrible. I entered on Monday and since I didn’t know that the assembly was on Monday, I left the school early by going through the front door. I saw a few student with this blue uniform guarding the front gate. I felt weird and headed on. A few students blocked me and they started to say in Malay. I didn’t know one single word they said. I cried like hell yo! I thought they won’t allowed me but you know, I think they were saying about assembly shit and I didn’t quite understand with their Malay words. DAMN MAN!!. I left after a few minutes later on and went back home by walking. I walked and stopped crying.

RECEIVED ADMIRATION IN MY CLASS

The next day, I came to my class and wow, they admired me quite much because I came from Australia and I didn’t know how to speak Malay in exchange, I knew how to speak English. They felt surprised and I received many new friends. When girls started to come near me, I felt blushed and shy. I felt speechless and when they asked me something, I didn’t say anything because I was SHY!! My friends talked to me in Malay. I understand Malay because my mom talked Malay at home. I understand but replying was so difficult. My first Malay friend was a guy named Zahrul Nizam. He was cool, active and a funny guy. Sadly I heard about him that right now, he turned bad. Smoking and some fucking shit that fucks his fucking life. IDK what happened to him. He was a cool guy but now-2010-he changed a lot!

LEARNING MALAY FROM A GIRL NAMED ZANA~

Anyway, back to the past, there was a girl named Zanariah. She was the leader of our classroom and she taught me how to read Malay books. She was kinda harsh on me lol. I meant was in the beginning, she was kind and easy to be friend with but later when she gave me a lot of Malay novels and asked me to read, wa lao, very strict!

FAILED IN MY FIRST EXAMINATION TEST EXCEPT ENGLISH~

The exam week had arrived. Time for me to study. STUDY? WTH? I even couldn’t start and understand one sentence. Now I know how to read and talk in Malay but how about understanding? Wa lao, I fucked up in all the exams except English lol. The Malay Essay, I just picked the words randomly from the instruction booklet and paste it on the answer sheet. Hahahaha. I failed that shit and the teacher gave me excused that I just arrived Malaysia and later, she gave me a letter to my parents so that I have improve my Malay skills.

DRAWING SKILLS BEGAN TO ENTER MY LIFESTYLE

On the other hand after the exam week, I saw a few of my friends knew how to draw Pokemon. I saw them drawing and bloody hell, even better than my drawing. I felt jealous and amazed with their pictures. I asked them how to draw it perfectly. They said “take the picture you desired, put it under this A4 paper and traced it”. I said “Huh? You meant that you copied just like that?”. They said, “yep”. hahahaa=D No wonder their pictures were awesome because they traced it. For me, I looked at the picture and drew but they traced it lol. That was a huge different.

CO-CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES I JOINED - HIGH JUMP

As months passed by, I entered a few co-curriculum activities. I entered Olahraga-Lompat Tinggi (Athletic-High Jump), Pengakap (Scout) and Bahasa Inggeris (English Language) for my activities. I wasn’t active in the scout and the English Language but I was very active in the Athletic sport, HIGH JUMP.

Since I was freaking good, a few of the athletic teachers asked me to enter the High Jump Tournament and present my sport team, WIRA (Colored Purple) lol. I entered and managed to get in the 2nd place. Well, my opponent was a cool athletic guy named Abdul Mutalib. He was awesome and believed it or not, he has long legs!! Wa lao, thats why he could jump like a rabbit. Jumping without any problems. Well, actually, I could defeat him lol but one of my toe was bleeding drastically. My coach asked me to give up due to my injuries but I refused. I kept running and jumping. At last, I past it! Mutalib past it too. After a few seconds, the long horizontal pole fell down. So, the victory goes to him but the best part was he came towards me and pulled me up. That is what you called a friendly and challengeable match against two strongest sport team, WIRA (Purple) and SAGA (Red). I enjoyed that day but later, I went to the clinic to check my toe. It was bleeding deeply and I had a huge cut lol. I didn’t go to school for a day due to this awful injury.

A NEW NEIGHBOR BECAME MY AWESOME FRIEND
A year passed by, which was standard 5. I entered 5 Tanjung. A new friend of mine enjoyed with me on my daily days. He lived very near to my house and beside, we were in the same class. His name was Khairul Asyraf. He’s cool and well, much cooler and funnier than Zahrul Nizam. My life in standard 5 was great but not too great in change. Still, my shyness was in my dictionary. Hopeless and very difficult to get rid of this shyness in me. I met a lot of new friends, new teachers and new subjects that I disliked.

HIGH JUMP COMPETITION AGAIN
Just like usual, I entered the Athletic High Jump Tournament and won in the 3rd place. Wa lao, how in the word I got 3rd place? I should get the first place lol. You know why? There were a few tall guys who entered the High Jump Tournament and all of them were and now my best friends. They were Mutalib with his long leg, Mustaqim and Faliq with their tall heights. Since I was short back then and they were tall, they easily managed to pass the high jump with no worries. Wa Lao, I have to take a deep breathe, run properly and jump like a rough-kite. But them, they just run and jumped like a rabbit! They were competitive but sadly they lost lol. Size doesn’t matters! The only matter is the will and the spirit you have to win the matches! My spirit was high and I showed everything what I got. I lost lol. I got 3rd place. Owh well, at least I got a trophy, right? Hahahaha.

MY AUSTRALIAN ACCENT IS GONE FOREVER=( CARELESS~

Well, as months passed by and the exam month showed up, my education in Malay started to improve pretty well and I quite understand a lot lol. I understand Malay but one big problem, I LOST MY AUSTRALIAN ACCENT! OWH NOOOOO! WHAT SHOULD I DO! I couldn’t do anything. I speak like a Malaysian guy who speaks English fluently without any dialect or accent. WTF man! Huh! So careless of me! Anyway, my dialect was gone, my exam wasn’t good at all except English and I got 3rd place in the Tournament. What a bummer! An unlucky year for me=[....

RECEIVED GIRL'S POPULARITY. I DONT KNOW WHY~ RUNNNNNN!!!

This is the weirdest part. I didn't know why but a lot of girls back then tried to chase me and wanted to know me quite well. WTH? I wasn't a cool guy. I'm just an active guy who likes sport at the same time, being shy to females. How in the world, there were many girls, tried to sit near me and tried to know me deeply? I felt awkward that time and felt shy at the same time. One of the girl said to me that she admired me because I'm active, good-looking, came from another country and speak English pretty well. Huh? Wa lao, I'm just a simple guy, thats all. There was a scene where I got chased by a group of girls lol. This time, it happened when I was in standard 6 (6 Lili). There was a day called "Maulidur Rasul" and we have to wear "baju melayu" for guys lol. I wore that and many girls looked at me. Wa lao, I felt shy and ran away. Hahahaha. And there was a group of girls I knew came to my class and wanted to talk to me. I felt cool and looked at them. They stared at me and my faced turned red. They started smiling and took out a camera! Wa lao, taking a picture with them? What I'm waiting for? I ran away and they chased me. They split into two groups and well, they started to chased me in BLOCK C but I ran to BLOCK B and later canteen. I felt tired and exhausted. I waited for a few minutes and went back to my class. I entered and finally my teacher arrived=]. Later on, the girls came and caught me. Owh well, they took a picture of me and they left with a big smile! Wa lao, how in the world I was popular. WTH! Before the big exam started, there was an event.
